Giovanni Rana is an Italian chef, entrepreneur and food celebrity who has lent his name to a number of Italian food products. They are marketed in both Italy and some foreign markets, including the US and the UK. Last year, Rana's food products started phasing in a new look in the Italian market.
The logo has been refreshed, making it more typographically acceptable. Packaging for pasta-based products still features Rana's friendly visage.
It seems this rebrand only concerns the domestic Italian market, the foreign markets continue using a different package design.
There doesn't seem to have been any formal announcement of the new look, but the new logo has been used at least since October last year.
