New logo: Unitymedia

Unitymedia is one of Germany's major cable companies, owned by Liberty Global who are also behind major cablecos in several other European companies, most of them using the UPC brand. Last Friday, March 30, Unitymedia unveiled a new corporate identity that adopts the symbol used by Liberty Global's UPC brand, but gives it more colour and depth.

Unitymedia's previous logo was introduced in 2007. The speech balloon symbol could also be used on its own. The current UPC branding was introduced the same year.

Germany's largest cable operator is Kabel Deutschland which operates in 13 of Germany's 16 states. In the remaining three states, Unitymedia is the cable provider for North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse while Kabel BW takes care of Baden-Württemberg. The two smaller operators are currently in the process of merging with each other.
