New logo: JeemTV

Al Jazeera is not just a worldwide news operation, it has also started up a children's channel, a documentary channel and several sports channels. In late March, the Al Jazeera Children's Channel was rebranded as Jeem. This channel was founded in 2005 and is broadcast across the Arab region.

The hope is that Jeem will be established as a multiplatform brand, active on both the screen and the web. The name comes from the letter ج, proununced "jeem", in the Arab alphabet, an the logo is based on it. The channel's creative director is quoted in the press, saying the name was chosen to be easily remembered. The yellow dot should work as a "point of activation", on the website and on screen.
