UKCloud commits to new name

UKCloud is a cloud computing service focused on the public sector in Britain. It was known as Skyscape Cloud Services until August 1 when it relaunched under the present name. The new identity was developed by digital and brand agency Mr B & Friends.

From a press release:
The brief was to create a new brand positioning, proposition and identity that reflected the unequivocal commitment to serving the Public Sector with a flexible and pure cloud service proposition, helping Government departments to either migrate to the cloud, or better deploy the power of cloud.

The agency created a new articulation of the brand centred around the positioning of ‘Pure Commitment’. This illustrates the transparent and focused way in which UKCloud goes about its business. Operating a true pay-as-you-go model, the service provider enables total flexibility to its customers and bases its business on a consumption model rather than contracted arrangement. This provides outstanding value and disrupts the normal pattern in the sector. As such the identity is designed to reflect flexibility, simplicity and enduring value.
