Hulsbosch rebrands arts supplier Mont Marte

Mont Marte is an Australian arts supplier that has seen rapid expansion and growth to become available in over 80 countries. Last week, it introduced a refreshed brand identity, created by Hulsbosch.

The new brand platform sets out to clarify Mont Marte's offerings for a global audience. Using the new tagline "I Can Create!" as starting point, the new packaging wants to be inclusive and accessible to artists at all stages.

"Operating for 15 years, Mont Marte has grown to become a company with a global footprint of over 80 countries and a flourishing online community. Given its rapid growth and expansion overseas it was time to move Mont Marte forward with a clarified and compelling brand story.

Hulsbosch worked closely with Mont Marte to understand its markets, its brand personality and product offer. The aim was to help Mont Marte meet awareness challenges whilst expressing the art brand in a unique way amongst its category competitors and to ensure it thrives globally as a household name.

The new strategic approach created by Hulsbosch supports all Mont Marte communications with simplicity and consistencies across all touch points for current and new customers.

Aspiring artists, artists, kids, hobbyists and even professional artists - anyone looking to explore their creativity, including Mum’s looking for smart and savvy ways to entertain their kids, Mont Marte’s purpose is that art is for everyone.

From this vision, Hulsbosch produced a brand identity that includes an engaging tagline ‘I Can Create!’. The device promotes participation with a brand that believes art should be available and accessible; a guardian of no barriers to making art, and Mont Marte can put the fun back in its creation.


As part of the work, Hulsbosch reviewed the product organisation of the Mont Marte range. Newly created brand guidelines simplify groupings for various sub brands and distinguish each product category with straightforward navigation descriptors, ‘paint, draw, make, wear or play’.

The new look Mont Marte brand architecture will be incorporated into product advertising and product packaging systems. Also product catalogues, direct mail, promotional posters with implementation online and with social media executions.
